The finished drawing is the set of the individual's perception in relation to the stimulus and its representation. ![]() Wartegg based his work on Sander's principle where "individual differences stand out more clearly if the structuring forces of individuals act spontaneously and productively". The Wartegg test is a graphic and projective personality test, which, through a series of strokes, encourages the individual to produce personal drawings. In 1929, Ehrig Wartegg moved to the Leipzig Institute (Germany), where he developed his test, the Wartegg Test (WZT), initially known as "The drawing and character". After the First World War, Wartegg studied music and although he did not excel in that field, this was the way he had the opportunity to meet other prominent composers and musicians of his time, such as Richard Strauss, Alba Berg, Igor Stravinski and Paul Hindemith. Ehrig Wartegg was an Austrian-German psychologist born in Dresden (Germany), on July 7, 1897, where he completed his primary and secondary education. ![]()
